On June 21st., 2008 I took part in a fund raising motorcycle ride sponsored by Autism Speaks.Autism Speaks web site.
The ride started at the Christian Faith Center in Federal Way, and it ended at Downtown Harley Davidson in Tukwilla.
I rode over Chinook Pass to Federal way.It was about 40 degrees, and the road on the pass was wet, but it wasn't cold enough to be icey. There was still snow along the road though.
Here are some photos taken at the top of Chinook Pass.
I managed to find the church in Federal Way. I signed up, got my "goodies" which were a t-shirt of the event and a ticket to the BBQ which was at the end of the ride.
Then I mingled with the crowd while waiting for the ride to begin, and took some photos in the process.
And here they are.
After registration we all headed out on the ride to Tukwilla. I got mixed up in a traffic circle, and I lost the group.Since I had no idea where to go I went back to the church where we srarted. I got there just in time to follow a lady in her truck who was going to the final destination: Downtown Harley Davidson in Tukwilla.Anyway, we took the direct route via Interstate, so I missed the motorcycle ride..
As I said the final destination was Tukwilla at the HD dealer. Here are some photos from there.
As I said at the start of this web page this ride was a fund raising event for Autism Speaks. This ride in the Seattle area was only one of many similiar rides in cities across the USA.The Seattle area event raised about $2,000.00.
After the event I headed home in Yakima, again over Chinook Pass. The weather was cool, and the roads were bare and wet.
